A Way to Contribute

After a courageous two-year battle, my brother Les, lost his life to pancreas cancer at age 57. Not wanting his fight to be in vain, my wife and I joined the Monastra family to find a cure for this horrible disease. We have visited Dr Hruban and Dr. Iacabuzio at the Johns Hopkins Cancer Research Centers and have seen firsthand the hard fought advances in understanding the causes and potential solutions to pancreas cancer. The JCM Foundation has given us a way to contribute so that someday we will find a cure for pancreas cancer.

Make a Difference with JCM Foundation

As a volunteer since 2002, I have always believed in the JCM Foundation. I lost my stepfather to this disease. He received the whipple and survived for 16 months. Giving my time for such a critical cause has been extremely rewarding. I really can make a difference thanks to the JCM Foundation.

Cutting-edge Research

I am a post-doc research fellow in Dr. Iacobuzio-Donahue’s lab and my research is directly supported by the Monastra Foundation. I am profoundly excited to be a part of the cutting-edge research taking place in the lab. I sincerely believe that the discoveries we make will improve patient care and provide hope for those diagnosed with this terrible disease.
