Atlanta (September 21, 2011) - As the fight to find a cure and early detection for the deadliest of all cancers - pancreatic cancer - continues, a locally-founded organization, the Joseph C. Monastra Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research (JCM Foundation) hosts an art benefit to fund this all-important research. JCM Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research Hosts Benefit Art Auction
ATLANTA (June 2010) – Pancreatic Cancer is the deadliest of all cancers and the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths. The fight to find a cure and early detection for pancreatic cancer continues. In order to draw awareness to the disease, the Joseph C. Monastra Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research (JCM Foundation) will host an art benefit ArtCAN featuring works from acclaimed Southeastern artists who are cancer survivors or who have had their lives affected by cancer. As with all funds raised by the JCM Foundation, money raised during ArtCAN will go directly to support pancreatic cancer research at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions (JHMI). Read More

Full Circle’s Monastra Leads Fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Research
Foundation is seeking sponsors for fall golf tournament
ATLANTA (July 2007) – When she’s not helping her clients, Full Circle Senior Account Manager Pamela Monastra is likely to be found raising money for pancreatic cancer research. This fall, her efforts will focus on a golf tournament at the Golf Club of Georgia, where she hopes to raise $75,000 in an effort to defeat the silent killer. She’s currently seeking sponsors for the event. Read More

MACEDONIA - Joseph C. Monastra, 74, a defense industry engineer who held top-level positions at TRW Inc., Argo Tech Corp. and Technautics Corp., died Thursday at his Macedonia home. In the 1980s, Monastra headed the Sidewinder Warhead Program for TRW and helped the company obtain the contract for the torpedo propulsion system. He was vice president of ArgoTech's ordnance system division from 1986 to 1991, and was responsible for marketing and new business development at Marine Mechanical Corp., later Technautics Corp. After he retired in 1993, he worked as a consultant. Read More
